Kathmandu, Nepal – In a vibrant celebration of unity, cultural expression, and technological innovation, Saransa Media Labs Private Limited successfully hosted the Tourism Literature Festival 2081 under the theme: “Now We Must Unite, We Must Be Happy, We Must Promote and Connect Nepal to the World.” Held in collaboration with Texas International College, the event was officially promoted by the Nepal Tourism Board and supported by over 20 local governments, including Jorayal Rural Municipality (Doti), Aamcho ding Rural Municipality (Rasuwa), and Shey Phoksundo Rural Municipality (Dolpa).

The festival brought together a wide spectrum of individuals—ranging from policymakers and government representatives to renowned content creators and business leaders—all focused on revitalizing Nepal’s tourism sector through storytelling, collaboration, and digital empowerment.

The event was graced by prominent figures such as Hon. Narayan Prakash (NP) Saud, former Foreign Minister and Member of the Constituent Assembly, who served as the chief guest. Additional esteemed guests included:

Opening the festival, Er. Kshitij Dahal, CEO and Co-Founder of Saransa Media Labs, emphasized the urgent need for Nepal to move beyond its identity crisis and embrace a future defined by unity, innovation, and cultural promotion. “Nation First and Nepal First must be our guiding ideology. With the support of technology and local creators, Nepal can become a global tourism hub,” he stated. He highlighted Saransa Media Labs’ contributions in developing Nepal-owned digital platforms like WeeTok and Saransa News—pioneering tools registered under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology aimed at bridging gaps between stakeholders and boosting internal tourism.

Creative Energy from Nepal’s Top Talent

The festival featured spellbinding performances and inspiring presentations from Nepal’s most prominent content creators, including Himesh PantaPawan Khatiwada (Myakuri)Istu KarkiSuzita ShresthaNamrata SapkotaSita Neupane, and singer CD Vijaya Adhikari, who captivated the audience with a live musical performance. The event was eloquently hosted by acclaimed presenter Saili Suman and included a special guest appearance by Santoshi, a Netherlands-born Raja Yoga teacher and life counselor with four decades of experience.

Student performers from Texas International College added cultural richness to the event through traditional dances, reflecting Nepal’s diverse heritage.

  • Kamal Sapkota underlined the essential role of digital content creators in promoting Nepal globally.

  • Mr. Bakhu lauded IT companies like Saransa for uniting stakeholders and spearheading transformative initiatives.
  • Local leaders from Jorayal and Shey Phoksundo called on creators to explore and promote rural municipalities as emerging travel destinations.
  • NP Saud emphasized tourism as Nepal’s third key sector after agriculture and hydropower and urged public-private synergy in its development.

Content creators voiced both their enthusiasm and challenges in producing tourism-related material, urging for systemic support and investment. They expressed readiness to lead a movement that harnesses creative storytelling for the resurgence of domestic and international tourism.

The 3-hour event, held on Nepali New Year’s Eve, concluded on a high note—reinforcing the collective belief that tourism is pivotal to Nepal’s economic revival.
